My homemade dairy free gingerbread oat milk chai
Ingredients & Tools
Attached are links for online shopping, but you can find everything in your local Whole Foods or similar stores :)
TAZO Chai Extract (I use Trader Joe’s for a honey-free option)
Oat Barista Blend (I’ve used Califia Farms or Minor Figures)
Gingerbread Syrup (Can be replaced with any flavor you want)
Light fluffy foam
How To
We all know the winter season is ending, and soon to follow is Starbucks’ winter menu. I personally love cold season drinks all year long, and the non-dairy oat milk chais are a new favorite of mine! I knew that I needed to figure out a way to scratch this itch before I was left stranded, and after some experimenting, I do believe I’ve hit the spot with this concoction. This isn’t one of those ‘let me tell you my life story’ recipe blogs; I’ll get right to it, here’s the secret:
Pour a serving of chai extract and an equal amount of oat barista into a glass. (I like lighter drinks and opt for a little less chai extract)
Put 1 pump of Gingerbread syrup into the glass and stir generously with a spoon
Fill glass with ice, leaving room near the top for foam
Pour a small layer of Ripple’s Half & Half into a separate cup or container (make sure it’s deep enough to prevent splashing)
Put 1 pump of Gingerbread syrup into the half & half
Using the frother, froth generously until you get nothing but a nice, fluffy, foam in the cup
Pour your foam onto your drink
Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top
Enjoy!
I hope this helps make your mornings magical all year long.
Leave a comment letting me know how your drink turned out!
Bye Bye for now 🩷
